Teachers are welcome to bring their classes to see the Science Fair on Monday, April 7, 2025, beginning at 10:00 am. Participating in a Class Visit will allow students to:

• Interact with students who are presenting their projects at the fair
• Participate in a “Treasure Hunt”

The “Treasure Hunt” requires students to go around the Science Fair and look for the answers to a set of questions related to the fair and the projects. A teacher could decide to use this as a marked class exercise. A marking key for the list of questions can be provided on request.

Teachers must register their intent to bring their classes with the Science Fair Chair by following the email instructions below.

The teachers need to know that:

• We stagger arrival times in ten minute increments (so they don’t all arrive at the same time),
• We try to accommodate their preference for arrival times, but we will accommodate those coming from out of town first.
• When the teachers arrive, they should sign in at the entrance (volunteers will be there with the sign-in sheet).
• They will need to bring their own clipboards and pencils.

Requesting a Class Visit

To request a class visit, please send an email to rmmarx@uvic.ca with the following information:

• School name
• Teacher’s name
• Teacher’s email
• Teacher’s phone number
• Total number of participants, including students and adults
• Grade level(s) attending
• Whether your group will participating in the Treasure Hunt
• Whether you would like a marking key for the Treasure Hunt
