Canada Wide Science Fair

The Canada Wide Science Fair [1] (CWSF) hosts 500 of Canada’s top young scientists to showcase their science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) based projects. The fair celebrates exploration of STEM and inspires STEM to thousands of youth and visitors. Scientists compete for nearly $1 000 000 in awards, prizes, and scholarships.

Taiwan International Science Fair

A British Columbia team of two students and one educator are invited to attend the Taiwan International Science Fair [2] (TISF). Participation by a BC team is a legacy of the Canada-Wide Science Fair 1991 which was hosted in Vancouver by a committee of the Science Fair Foundation of British Columbia (SFF BC). The TISF brings together students and teachers in Taiwan and from around the world for seven days to compete and to experience exciting cultural exchanges. Students and educators are billeted in a local hotel along with the rest of the international delegations. Many unique educational and social activities are planned.

The Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF)

The Intel International Science and Engineering Fair [3] (ISEF), a program of Society for Science & the Public (the Society), is the world’s largest international pre-college science competition. Intel ISEF unites these top young scientific minds, showcasing their talents on an international stage, where doctoral level scientists review and judge their work. Each year, approximately 1,800 high school students from more  than 75 countries, regions, and territories are awarded the opportunity to showcase their independent research and compete for on average $4 million in prizes.

Google Science Fair

The Google Science Fair [4] (GSF) is a global online competition open to students from 13 to 18 years old. Less than 20 global finalists are selected to participate in the Google Fair hosted at the Google headquarters. The Grand prize winner receives a $50 000 scholarship from Google.
